Learning Outcomes

1. Evaluate the appropriateness of telehealth for an individual client using evidence, clinical reasoning, client preferences, and contextual factors.
 
2. Identify standardized components of high-quality telehealth practice that promote safety, consistency, and positive outcomes.
 
3.  Develop strategies to address interstate practice and connectivity barriers that may affect access to occupational therapy services.
 
Telehealth has expanded opportunities for occupational therapy practitioners to improve access to care and provide services across geographic boundaries. This presentation will explore practical strategies for delivering evidence-based, consistent, and client-centered OT through telehealth. Participants will examine the OT Compact, common practice considerations, and strategies for addressing connectivity barriers while maintaining quality and meaningful outcomes.

Molly Hahn-Floyd, OTD, OTR/L, is a pediatric clinician, telehealth company owner, and OTAC President dedicated to advancing occupational therapy through leadership, advocacy, education, and innovation.
