Postsecondary Transtion SIS

The ArizOTA Postsecondary Transition SIS was established to improve successful transitions for individuals with disabilities to postsecondary arenas such as gainful employment; education and training; and independent living. The ArizOTA Transition SIS provides mentorship opportunities to OT’s and OT students and establishes collaborative alliances with organizations that provide transition services.

ArizOTA’s Postsecondary Transition SIS promotes best practices for occupational therapists who provide transition services in Arizona through the promotion of continuing education, research, publications, and collaborative relationships.

ArizOTA’s Postsecondary Transition SIS has provided training to classes from Midwestern University, Northern Arizona University, and AT Still University. These training opportunities have empowered OT students to participate in postsecondary transition planning activities at varying levels.
