Penny Moyers, EdD, OTR/L, AOTA President, opened up the ArizOTA 2007 Fall Conference with her presentation: Cascading a Chain Reaction, Leading Leaders on the Centennial Vision. Penny presented AOTA’s Centennial Vision for 2017 and challenged occupational therapy practitioners to be leaders by turning “extraordinary ideas” into “extraordinary actions.” Occupational therapy practitioners were charged with keeping up with the “knowledge revolution” to make sure our profession lasts, being involved with research and evidence-based practice and building the profession’s capacity to serve and advocate for our clients by mentoring occupational therapy students and entry-level graduates.
