Rebuilding Together Valley of the Sun is looking for volunteers to help install fall safety devices to low-income seniors.

We are looking for volunteers to help install fall safety devices to low-income seniors on a regular basis….a minimum of two mornings a month and hopefully 4 mornings a month. They would go out with another volunteer on 1-2 homes per morning and should be done by Noon. We provide the training, the devices, mileage to and from the job and the liability insurance. We just need more volunteers to help provide our services.

Rebuilding Together's Senior Fall Prevention Services will supply and install free fall prevention devices to lower-income homeowners who are elderly (over 65) and/or disabled across the Valley called Senior Fall Prevention Services. For those who don’t meet our income guidelines we will provide a fee for service. Individuals must own their home. Funds from this service will help off set the cost of our free services.

Some of the items that they will install and provide are: Grab Bar- multiple sizes, Transfer Pole, Hand grip, Shower mat, Shower stool, Hi-lo bathtub bar, Hand held shower hose, Threshold ramps, Toilet seat raisers, Toilet seats, Night lights, Fire/smoke alarms.
